New Unemployment Insurance Rules
- What does the new unemployment insurance mean?
From October 1, 2025, a new income-based unemployment insurance applies. This means that your right to compensation is no longer mainly based on the number of hours you have worked, but on how much income you have earned.
- Do the new rules apply to me immediately?
If you already have a compensation decision before October 1, 2025, the old rules apply until your period ends.
If you apply for compensation after October 1, 2025, the new rules apply immediately.
- What requirements must be met to receive compensation?
You must have earned at least SEK 120,000 during the last 12 months.
At least SEK 11,000 per month in a minimum of 4 months during that period must be met.
Always check with your unemployment fund (a-kassa) what applies to your specific situation.
- How does an employer certificate work at Paidin?
With the new rules, you no longer need an employer certificate.
- Can I get compensation if I use Paidin's services?
Yes. Since you as a self-employed worker via Paidin Finans AB, your income counts just like any other employment. Remember that you can find all your payslips under "Documents" when you are logged in.
- Where can I find more information?
